Our Story
MozYouth Foundation's journey began in 2018 under the name Beleluane Joba, initially as a program by MozParks directed towards companies in the Beleluane industrial park. This early phase focused on creating opportunities within the industrial park, laying the groundwork for what would become a broader mission. During this period, numerous internships were facilitated, contributing significantly to youth employability.
In 2021, the initiative was rebranded as Mimi Niko Kazi, expanding its reach beyond the industrial parks to incorporate companies throughout the entire country. This significant shift allowed the program to impact a wider range of industries and regions. The expanded scope facilitated greater access to opportunities for young Mozambicans, aligning with the evolving mission to empower youth for a positive societal impact. By November 2023, the initiative officially became the MozYouth Foundation, becoming an independent foundation. Alongside the internship pillar, MozYouth also added the education and entrepreneurship pillars.
